Readers,
A belated Happy New Years to everyone! I start 2009 in the same place I began 2008, back in Colombia. This time I am traveling with a college friend for a few days and then with a family friend--Colombia has become quite the tourist destination--before settling down somewhere with my notebook and a pen. In the meantime I will be out of touch.
I´ve been enjoying this vacation from computers. With my laptop always in tow I get so absorbed in my little web routines that I forget to look up and check out the people and happenings around me. So as inefficient as it may be, I decided it best that my Mac Book will once again be wintering in Nashville while I decipher my incomprehensible longhand in front of a public terminal every few days.

2008 was my best year yet. I am confident 2009 will be even better. Now if I can finish this damn book...
